John Cribb has joined Yellowstone Newspapers as the publisher for The Carbon County News. Cribb is a first generation Montanan, born and raised in Bozeman. He recently worked for the Whitefish Pilot and the Big Fork Eagle. He graduated from University of Montana with a degree in communications studies and history. By his own admission he is a Griz fan and knows the county is Bobcat country. He is an avid skier and is looking forward to trying the runs at Red Lodge Mountain resort. He also is a cellist. Cribb’s first wish is to get to know the communities around the county and meet those who live in them.

“I’ve also lived in Townsend and Deer Lodge so I know about rural communities. I’m excited to see a new corner of Montana, a State I love. I’m looking forward to visiting all the communities in the valley from Fromberg, Edgar, Bridger, Bearcreek and Belfry, as well as Joliet and Roberts,” he said. “I’m very happy to be here at the Carbon County News and hope we and the communities can continue to grow together,” he said. Cribb invites people to come by and visit him at the Carbon County News. “My door is always open and you can reach me at 446-2222,” he said.
